SEED4SEN: Strengthening Environmental Education Methods for Students with Special Educational Needs

Educational Center for Environment and Sustainability of Karpenisi (Greece) takes part in an Eramus+ Project.

Funded by the European Commission under Erasmus+ Programme – KA210SCH Small Scale Partnerships in School Education, this international project aims to develop innovative methods of environmental education tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs (SEN). Through collaboration, workshops, and creative tools, we strive to make environmental education inclusive and inspiring for all learners.

There are several educational European institutions, from 4 different countries, involved in it: IES Trevenque (Spain); Ahmet Kutsi Tecer Ozel Egitim Meslek Okulu (Turkey); Hamza Yerlikaya Ortaokulu (Turkey) and IES Trevenque (Spain). All of them are coordinated by Niepubliczna Szkoła Podstawowa Słoneczna Kraina w Raciborzu (Poland).

The project will be developed from April 2025 to March 2026 and, within its key objectives, 5 should be highlighted:

  1. Promote inclusive environmental education.
  2. Support teachers with effective SEN-friendly methods.
  3. Strengthen international cooperation.
  4. Share good practices and tools across Europe.
  5. Empower students through practical, eco-focused activities.
